In this article, we are going to see how to install Storage Replication Adapter(SRA) in our home lab. Make sure that SRA version which you downloaded is compatible with your Storage and SRM. Here in our lab, we are using HP VSA as virtualize storage for array based replication. Please note that HP has not released a compatible SRA for SRM 8.1 as of now. Hence we faced issue in installing SRA.
What option we have either to switch to some different vendor of storage, i;e EMC UnityVSA or degrade SRM version to 6.5 which is supported for HP VSA’s SRA. Choice is yours.
So always make sure to check the compatibility of SRA with SRM.
Here is Step by Step guide: –
- Download SRA which is compatible to HP VSA. Click Here to download.
- Store it in any location on SRM server.
- Extract the folder and Click on Setup.exe.
- Select “I Accept” and Click on Next.
- Provide username and Company Information. Click on Next.
- SRA is ready to install. Click on Install.
- Installation is in progress.
- Click finish to complete the wizard.
